Mobile Vision (Project 3DT) - Front End Engineer, Mountain View (TVC)

Project Overview:

Our client is developing an innovative platform that has the power to alter the way we purchase things. This new system brings 3D imaging and modeling technologies together with data science to create a seamless experience for consumers. We have already developed early hardware and software prototypes and are looking for talented individuals to help us advance the system further.

As a front end engineer your job will be to figure out how to collect data from front users, how and where to store it, and how to make it available for frontend computation, while maintaining the security and privacy of the data to company standards. You will also be responsible for working with the team developing the front end computation systems to help them understand how to access the data, how to deploy in the client's environment, and how to grow the service to the client's scale. An ideal candidate for this role would be a SWE-SRE or equivalent.

Overall Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.

Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Develop pilot implementations to be deployed on third party and or internal platforms.

Top 3 daily responsibilities: Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Required Skills: BA/BS degree in Computer Science 3 years of professional software development experience.

Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: JavaScript, Java, C/C++, Python or Go.

Experience with front end technologies and/or front end frameworks.

Nice to have:

Experience developing user-facing software.

Experience with the latest and greatest web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.

Knowledge of web libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, Polymer, Closure or Backbone.

Strong sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of user experience.

Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques. Familiarity with website plugins and cross-company web integration

An understanding of the principles of accessibility and can build products that are accessible to users with disabilities.
