GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

• Provides Electrical or Electronic or Interior Communication System Engineering Technical Services and CAD support required to develop Ship Installation Drawings or other engineering products such as reports, calculations and update of databases.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Ship check Engineering Technical Services on board U.S. Navy ships to obtain data required to develop Ship Installation Drawings.
• Troubleshooting on board U.S. Navy ships.
• Evaluates Electrical or Electronic or Interior Communication Systems, products, components, and applications.
• Develop or check Ship Installation Drawings in two dimensional CAD (2-D CAD) in support of PSNS and IMF located In Client or in CDI facility.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Updates data bases to support of Power, Lighting and Receptacle Systems. 

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate and advance training received at college level or while in the military.
• Ten Years relevant experience supporting Repair and Modification of U.S. Navy ships in the disciplines of Electrical or Electronic or Interior Communication System Engineering.
• Must be familiar with Planning Yard IDDS and IDEA CAD Standards.
• Active DOD security clearance.
• Clean driving record.
• Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain a security clearance issued by the US Government.
• Fluent in in two dimensional CAD (2-D CAD).
