GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Designer/Sr. Designer to Support BIW LCS Program working in CDI Facility.   1. Electrical, 1. Mechanical

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Perform Ship Checks as scheduled.
  • Prepare drawings packages IAW BIW standards.
  • Develop SIDS or other products such as diagrams in AutoCAD.
  • Write 4E work specifications.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5-10  years experience with Ship check and drawings devleopment
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. Navy Ships, preferably Big Decks

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Employee may access remote areas of multi-level vessels
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

• Due to ITAR compliance, only U.S. Persons as defined by the ITAR regulations will be considered (ITAR- International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.
