Field Planner

 

 

•             Minimum of 10 years of PLANNING experience

•             Previous planned Olefins TAs (anywhere)

•             Must know the TADB (Turnaround Database)

•             Must know how to input scope activities into P6

•             Must have previously executed a major TA at CVON site

•             Must know how to develop detailed job plans

•             Must have experience as a Lead Planner

•             Must have experience as a craftsmen

•             QA/QC experience is a major plus

 

 

Verifies and executes field planning per package specifications and completes the field planning checklist.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•             Execute field tagging turnaround items

•             Annotation of package drawings

•             Complete package data sheets as applicable to assigned packages; data sheets include but are not limited to:

o             Tag equipment data sheets

o             Activity plan data sheets

o             Labor and material resource data sheets

o             Scaffold and insulation plan data sheets

o             Weld plan data sheets

o             Blinding plan data sheets

•             Develop field isometric drawings per package specifications

•             Assemble field planning documents per package specification for quality review

•             Complete and sign off on package field planning requirements checklists

•             Participate in package field walkdowns

•             Transition into a turnaround execution role in either field coordination or planning systems

 

 

KEY COMPENTENCIES:

•             Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

•             Thorough understanding of drawing types including:

o             Pipe and instrument drawings

o             Process flow diagrams

o             Equipment specification and construction drawings

o             Piping isometrics

•             Strong background in one or more of the following:

o             Pipe fabrication and erection practices

o             Fixed equipment disassembly, inspection and re-assembly practices

o             Machinery overhaul practices

o             Electrical preventive maintenance and repair practices

o             Instrument preventive maintenance and repair practices

o             First line craft supervisory experience during turnaround execution

•             Previous turnaround planning experience

•             Basic technical experience

•             Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

•             Ability to write simple correspondence

•             Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

•             Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

•             Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

•             Knowledge and experience with Excel, Word Processing and PowerPoint

•             Knowledge and experience with Primavera and P3 3.0

•             Knowledge of data entry

•             Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.

•             Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

•             High School diploma

•             10+ years of experience related to the above-listed qualifications
