GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform Quality inspections of company manufactured military and civilian prototype and production electronic equipment, test fixtures, ground support equipment, Circuit Card Assemblies, harnesses and cables.
  • The candidate will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, and will work under immediate supervision.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Inspection of materials, components and subassemblies for conformance to product specifications
  • Interpret vendor data sheets, part/assembly drawings, schematics, wire lists, commercial standards and military standards
  • Inspect various electronics and mechanical/hardware items for compliance
  • Ensure materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing/assembly field performing acceptance/receiving inspections or in a related capacity
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Utilizing mechanical measuring instruments and some electrical test equipment
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Quality Assurance field
  • ESD handling techniques
  • Interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and J-STD-001
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Deltek’s Costpoint MRP system is a plus.
  • Ability to perform internal quality audits is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift 30 to 40 lbs.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods
  • Able to routinely use hand tools
  • Able to read small print
  • Able to use a microscope as needed
