GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Support Program Manager Office for Surface Training Systems Program Office (PMS 399) in efforts at the Navy’s Fleet Concentration areas and shipbuilding yards either at government sites or contractor facilities.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Provide logistical, technical and administrative support to all assigned Prospective Supply Officers for planning and managing ship’s load-out including COSAL/GUCL review, ACR/AEL review, ship’s store management, and coordination of SUPSHIP/Contractor/ ship’s force logistical efforts.
  • Develop logistics plans to include Lock and Key Plan, Postal Plan, HAZMAT load plan.
  • Provide training support to the Prospective Training Officer for planning and implementing the ship’s training program including coordination of familiarization and operator/maintenance training for all Pre-commissioning crewmembers.
  • Participate in logistics support and supply documentation reviews to identify discrepancies and initiate corrective actions where required.
  • Coordinate the distribution and management of government provided gear.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Logistics Tech I:

  • 1 – 5 years experience with Naval Logistics efforts
  • Pre-commissioning experience desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Logistics technical data development processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interaction skills with employees from all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point

 

Logistics Tech II:

  • 5 – 8 years experience with Naval Logistics efforts
  • Pre-commissioning experience desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Logistics technical data development processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interaction skills with employees from all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point

 

Logistics Tech III:

  • 8 + years experience with Naval Logistics efforts
  • Pre-commissioning experience desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Logistics technical data development processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interaction skills with employees from all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must have a current Secret clearance, will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
