GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Research, write and edit technical material for proposals;
  • Participate in proposal strategy, design, writing, and review sessions throughout the life of the proposal;
  • Review RFP documentation and develop comprehensive proposal outlines and compliance matrices;
  • Work with subject matter experts to prepare material for all sections of proposals, including interviewing experts and/or reviewing and revising text prepared by experts;
  • Ensure Capture win themes and discriminators are seamlessly incorporated throughout the proposal
  • Review proposal pieces and final text for clarity, consistency responsiveness to RFP requirements, in preparation for color team reviews and final production;
  • Assist with the analysis of the competitive environment for considering CDI’s differentiators; and establish relationships potential partners and/or local staff.
  • Contribute to refining internal processes and methodologies for developing winning proposal
  • Confirms final proposal submission meets all solicitation requirements
  • Uses extensive proposal experience to provide production support, including desktop publishing, reproduction coordination, and quality control checks. 
  • Maintains proposal libraries
  • Proven proposal writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated competence to assess priorities, and concurrently manage a variety of activities effectively to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

 

 

 

 

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Attend meetings and provide professional recommendations as requested.
  • Coordinates proposal meetings and keep minutes
  • Professionally interface with vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated success in writing winning DoD IT proposals
  • Attended Shipley business course training, desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Desktop publishing, and other MS products
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop desired
  • Excellent writing and editing skills

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
