GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

• CDI is seeking Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Combat Systems Operations SME Trainer in support of COMNAVSURFPAC Readiness Assistance Team (RAT):
• Sailor-centric deck plate training assists
• Reporting, analysis, recommendations, corrective actions and post-action reporting with crews as they prepare for major evolutions, certifications and inspections
• Position is Contingent Upon Award of Contract

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Identify performance/operational weaknesses throughout the assists
• Provide training and expertise to support identified weaknesses and improve operational readiness.
• Must have specific knowledge in the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Combat Systems operations for
  • LHA/LHD (2 persons required)

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Over twenty years of experience with the technical aspects of the operations and maintenance of the SSDS Combat Systems suite. Experience level should be comparable to that of an Electronics Material Officer (EMO) on ships with SSDS
• Over twenty years of experience with the technical aspects of the operations and maintenance of Navy network and communications systems, supporting systems, and interfaces with associated shipboard systems.
• Direct operational and maintenance experience, within the last five years, with the operations and maintenance of Navy electronic warfare and countermeasures systems currently employed in the Fleet. Experience shall include working with SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare Suite, SLQ-25 NIXIE Torpedo Decoy System, NULKA Active Missile Decoy System, and the Mk 36 Super Rapid Bloom Offboard Countermeasures Chaff (SRBOC) and Decoy Launching System.
• Over twenty years of experience with the operations and maintenance of gunnery systems aboard a warship or military auxiliary.
• Over twenty years of experience with the operations and maintenance of stand-alone missile systems aboard a warship

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
