Required Skills: IT Specialists in this specialty will have expertise in managing and operation of IT hardware, software, communications, and/or application solutions, and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business. This specialty performs varying degrees of problem determination and resolution of mobile platforms and devices through the effective use of available technical resources, per contracted service level agreements for the following platforms and devices - Tangoe MDM, BlackBerry BES, Good for Enterprise, SyBase Afaria, BoxTone, Zenprise, MobileIron, Airwatch, IBM Endpoint Manager for Mobile Devices, WorkLight, SyBase UnWired Platform, iOS (iPhone, iPad, iTouch), Android and Symbian smartphones / tablets. This specialty performs steady state support and installs, configures, administers, maintains and support the mobility server software as well as supporting end user device enterprise functionality. Responsible for resolving problems within Service Level Agreement objectives (SLA), and completing all related administrative duties. As a key interface to the client, they need to understand the local and regional infrastructure and key contacts in the other competencies, i.e. network team, groupware team, etc., in order to ensure that the proper team is aware of, and taking action on the problem. Strong client communication and business skills are therefore needed since direct client interaction may be required. Accordingly, they have a direct impact on client satisfaction and need to understand their account/site environment. A technical knowledge of the supported platform is required as well as a working knowledge of the mobile devices and related operating systems. Good communication skills are required.
