CDI Inc., is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of UX Writer. It is expected to be 7 month assignment. This would be a W2 position with our company, CDI, and you would work onsite at our client’s location in San Bruno, CA. As a UX writer, you shape product experiences by communicating complex ideas in simple ways. You help set the vision for the product's content, telling a clear and consistent story to the user across multiple platforms and touchpoints.

You're part of a design team, working closely with designers and researchers. You also work with product managers, engineers, marketing, legal, localization, and support to address multiple technical, design, and business considerations. Above all, you make content recommendations that align with guidelines and create the best possible experience for the user.

You know great writing makes for great design, and you're always considering context - desktop or mobile, email or notification, written or spoken. Your work history shows skill in tailoring messages to work in certain spaces, styles, and systems.

Daily Responsibilities

• Write clear, concise UI text and messaging for products
• Follow client-wide style as well as any product-specific style guides
• Collaborate with designers and broader product team to guide language from design to implementation
• Format documents, help coordinate translations, and improve writing tools and processes

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or minimum 3 years equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience, including experience writing UI text
• Superb writing, editing, and project management skills
• Track record of scaling content across a variety of form factors
• Experience working with a cross-functional team, including UX, engineering, and product management
• Ability to juggle and deliver on multiple projects
