CDI Inc., is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of Technical Writer II. It is expected to be 7 month assignment. This would be a W2 position with our company, CDI, and you would work onsite at our client’s location in New York, NY. A Technical Writer resource would focus efforts to document and create reusable content for consultation, standardization, and other needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and maintain high-quality learning production process documentation.
  • Develop self-help guides, consultation templates, and codification of learning production processes.
  • Shepherd your new and updated content through the review/revise processes.
  • Manage the timely production, publication, and localization process for your documentation, often tied to production changes.
  • Help Instructional Designer with other related tasks, as needed.

 

Minimum qualifications

BA Degree in Tech Writing, computer science and/or technology disciplines is preferred and/or equivalent work experience in Technical Writer

4+ years of experience in a Technical Writer positions supporting Instructional Design 4+ years relevant work experience, particularly documenting processes, standards, and guidelines Ability to learn technical information quickly and explain it in simple terms targeted to the audience Thrive in a fast-paced environment and cope well with frequently changing requirements Ability to work independently and maintain multiple assignments at once Effective researcher, sensitive to other people’s time Proficiencies HTML, Photoshop, and SnagIt Experience documenting internal operational processes Experience developing self-help or other user facing artifacts Proficiencies Google docs and/or MS Office Nice to have Experience and/or Comfortable using Google apps
