CDI Inc., is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of Writer III. It is expected to be 10 month assignment. This would be a W2 position with our company, CDI, and you would work onsite at our client’s location in Chicago, IL. As part of our team, you’ll plan, write, and edit external content for products across our portfolio, bringing a strict focus on clarity. You’ll work proactively to create clear, detailed, tactical content to help partners onboard and thrive while continuously working to increase comprehension, product adoption, and issue resolution. You have the ability to cue a partners next steps with insightful word choice and an understanding of the customer mindset. You can integrate feedback from a number of stakeholders and varying perspectives for a seamless, integrated end product.

This is an individual contributor role requiring creativity, business sense, and editorial experience. Success in this role requires knowledge of externally-focused communications, online content development/management, and project management.

In short, were looking for someone who is relentless about breaking down complex concepts into component parts and building the written content that allow our partners to master them.

RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with subject matter experts to distill complex technical concepts and procedures into clear, actionable documentation; Write original, high quality customer help / support content (instructional materials, policies, technical feed specifications); Integrate feedback from a number of stakeholders and varying perspectives to create a cohesive, partner-focused end product;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS Degree required (no specific field required) 3-5 years experience as a content writer Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly Proven ability to maintain multiple assignments simultaneously, work independently, and drive projects to completion with minimum guidance and high attention to detail Evidence of work integrating both words and visuals for clear, focused content

NICE TO HAVE Experience with Adobe Photoshop and creating copy decks Experience with and/or writing about complex technology-based products for external users - excellent quick study in technical concepts

Persistence to iterate, refine and improve constantly.
