Overview – Responsibilities:

Building Technologies - Technical Editor
Under the guidance of more Sr. level writers and editor, assesses user needs and, writes, edits, and maintains technical documentation, including user manuals, online help, job aids, installation instructions, and technical instructions/bulletins.
Assists Editor with editing content from global projects.
Conveys in a concise manner the steps required to complete each task adhering to style and standard practices.
Edits content and grammar.
Gathers and assimilates information from a variety of sources. Researches content for new and revised documents by identifying and interviewing subject matter experts, working with product prototypes, and reading and interpreting design specifications.
Researches and resolves document change requests.
Participates in documentation review and usability testing.
Generates tables of contents and indexes, insert graphics, and prepare files for production and archiving.
Tracks document status and report progress to project management.
Keeps current on technical documentation research and technologies.
