GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

• CDI is seeking Applications Developer. This is a Full Time position in the Washington, DC area.  This position is contingent upon contract award.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Performing analysis, design, and development.
• Create data platforms balancing engineering and data analysis concerns
• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software.
• Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
• Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• BS  degree in computer science or other technical field and degree of applicability
• Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in software development, testing, and fielding implementation for large audiences
• Must have experience managing user experience teams
• Must possess an outstanding knowledge of standard written English grammar, spelling, punctuation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interface with clients, employees, and management;
• Must have enthusiasm and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to organize and multi task is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and other MS products
• Excellent and effective written & verbal communication skills.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant may be subject to a security investigation and then meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels
• Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
