GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • CDI is seeking 3M SME Trainer in support of COMNAVSURFPAC Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT)
  • Provides Sailor centric deck plate training and mentoring to 3M maintenance and supervisory personnel
  • Reporting, analysis, recommendations, corrective actions and post-action reporting with crews as they prepare for major evolutions, certifications and inspections

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Identify performance/3M Program areas for improvement to surface force ships
  • Provide training and expertise to support identified weaknesses and improve operational readiness.
  • Must have specific knowledge in the shipboard Maintenance Data Systems for Cruiser/Destroyer/Amphib class ships

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Over twenty years of experience using and managing the Navy 3-M system. Experience should be equivalent to a Command 3-M Coordinator (3-MC NEC 9517) or Ships Maintenance Material Officer.
  • Prefer prior 3M Coordinator experience.
  • Direct experience, within the last five years, using shipboard maintenance management and logistics databases currently in use by the U.S. Navy ((OMMS-NG and or AWN systems) and SKED 3.2)).
  • Shall be fully versed in the procedures and requirements of repair and replacement part procurement.
  • Shall be versed in the Navy Ship Configuration Logistic Support Information System.
  • Shall be versed in Navy Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and availability development process.
  • Shall be versed in ship crew training cycle requirements towards current written directives.
  • Must have experience equivalent to a Navy Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) fully knowledgeable regarding current Navy quality assurance program per Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must have a current Secret clearance and may be subject to a security investigation to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
