GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

• CDI is seeking a CAD Operator for the Navy Marine Gas Turbine (MGT) Program for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD)
• This is a Full Time position in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position is available for contingent hire

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Specific knowledge of the Navy’s LM2500 and GTG 501K-17/34 engines
• Detailed knowledge on how to operate, repair, and perform maintenance on gas turbine engines, main propulsion machinery (gears, shafting, and controllable pitch propellers), auxiliary equipment, propulsion control systems, and the corresponding electrical components.
• Specific experience in maintaining and operating ship’s service gas turbine generators and support systems.
• Provide technical support for the LM2500 Digital Fuel Control Program and other MGT engine line programs.
• Provide In-Service Engineering support for the LM2500 and GTG 501K-17/34 engines including special support equipment.
• Work with blueprints, schematics, and charts to provide maintenance and repair for gas turbine engines and auxiliary equipment.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• An Associate or Bachelor Degree in CAD drafting from an accredited college or university
• One+ (1+) year experience in creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical or industrial equipment using AutoCAD and Solidworks.
• Experience in ship systems is a plus
• Experience in DoN and DoD-relevant areas is required
