GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Providing process support including developing and issuing Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions in the Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) system in support of U.S. Navy ships

GENERAL DUTIES:

45 day assignment with the chance of going longer or possibly direct

  • Experience developing Technical Work Documents (TWD) using the Government’s AIM computer program. Work may include, but is not limited to:
  • Material research and ordering using MRQT and MAT •Preparing Quality Assurance (QA) documents, Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) & Ship’s Drawing Index (SDI) drawing research, •Compiling Allowance Parts Lists (APL), •Drafting Submarine Maintenance Standards (SMS), •Completing Unrestricted Operations/Maintenance Requirement Cards (URO/MRC) if required.
  • Experience with Project Trouble Desk support including, but not limited to, responding to DF/DL/DRs to evaluate deficiencies.
  • Experience in performing ship checks of systems and components to evaluate the need for repairs or removal as interference.
  • Familiarity and Technical Knowledge associated with repair, modernization, and replacement of ship’s equipment and material.
  • Extensive knowledge pertaining to Naval aircraft carriers, submarines or surface ships.
  • Overall knowledge of all trades common to the shipbuilding/ship repair industry.
  • Knowledge of the concepts and practices related to ship repair and overhaul programs.
  • Must be able to provide detailed statements of work including estimates of labor and material requirements.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate with advance training received at college or while in the military.
  • Ten Years relevant experience supporting Repair and Modification of U.S. Navy ship’s equipment and material.

  • Active DOD security clearance – Or the ability to obtain….
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
  • Travel Required

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Boat check craft on trailers or in the water •Required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels
