JOB DESCRIPTION :

GUDB is a mainframe application that uses Teradata as its data layer. The presentation layer is handled by a vendor solution . Out of our Testing Scope. The ETL for GUDB is through COBOL programs or Teradata scripting. The aggregation of data into summary tables is within Teradata using COBOL programs or Teradata Scripting. There is a Tech-Refresh in plan for a new gen GUDB using analytical tools. Test Experience in Hadoop framework will be preferred.

Education Required:

: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences or equivalent. Data Science Preferred.

Experience Required:

•  7-8+ years of progressive IT-Test experience. .
• Software test strategy, planning, documentation and process improvement experience. .
• Capability to perform at a very high level of technical competence and maturity, dealing with multiple assignments and ability to handle difficult situations. .
• Expectation for the test specialist for GUDB is mainframe knowledge and experience coupled with Teradata scripting knowledge and experience.
• Ability to analyze and translate requirements and development stories into test scripts to ensure complete test coverage.
•  Well Versed in Database testing
• Write SQL script as part of data setup, as well as to verify test results in manual and automated testing.
•  Understand and apply principles of Scaled Agile (SAFE) and work pro-actively with team members of an Agile Software Development and to find and fix defects in the product.
• Work collaboratively with Business Stakeholders, Business Analysts,Developers co-located and coordinate with offshore team for seamless test delivery. .
• Proficiency with Quality Centre (ALM), MS Office Suite (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience on Hadoop Clusters, Hive, Pig, Alteryx or any Analytical tool testing.

Experience Preferred:

• Experience with automation frameworks, web services (SOAP/XML/JSON) and related automation testing. .
• Passionate and Innovation mindset . out of the box approach. . Ability to write and run in house tools like Excel Macros or scripts, etc.
