GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • CDI is seeking Data Specialist / Administrator in support of COMNAVSUFPAC and COMNAVSURFLANT Maintenance University to provide technical support, financial and administrative support to maintain currency of Maintenance University’s training curriculum and instructor staffing.
  • Data maintenance and transfer of data, network connectivity and application support
  • Provide ship information briefings and training analysis on current and planned surface force maintenance policies and initiatives, including business process improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain student attendance and course availabilities via the Navy quota control and attendance management system

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Support database maintenance and network connectivity
  • Support mobile cable classroom stations and supporting infrastructure equipped to enhance the tailored briefs by integrating student hands-on experience in the use of current basic maintenance management automated information systems
  • Provide database maintenance for USN maintenance applications such as OMMS-NG, PMS SKED, AWN, VSB and MFOM
  • Shall interface with Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), Ship’s Force, System Commands (SYSCOMS), and assist TYCOM Staff on maintenance program software issues concerning performance, upgrade implementation and troubleshooting matters as required.

 

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA /BS in Computer Science related major or 10 years’ minimum experience with U.S. Navy maintenance processes and working with U.S. Navy maintenance IT systems in lieu of degree.
  • Shall have experience working with key Navy maintenance programs including OMMS, AWN, SKED, VSB, MFOM as well as some programming knowledge.
  • Shall have experience in managing and maintaining at least 100 networked computers in working condition, including software installation and upgrades, routine maintenance, and updating of various installed databases and LAN systems to support classroom training.
  • Shall have a minimum of five years of experience with recent (within last three years) U.S. Navy maintenance processes and working with U.S. Navy maintenance IT systems.

 

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must have a current Secret security clearance.
  • Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles.
