GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

• CDI is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for US Navy modernization programs.
• This is a Full Time position in San Diego, CA/Norfolk, VA.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Ensure materials and equipment are in accordance with specifications.
• Develop certification procedures.
• Ensure procurement of items meets naval requirements.
• Capable of performing tasks independently.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School, Trade School or Industrial School graduate with five years’ experience in quality assurance assessments.  Experience in conducting inspections on Navy ship HM&E and electronics systems. 
• Practical knowledge of QA programs and inspection systems.
• Working knowledge of shop procedures, processes and machining skills.
• NDT (Nondestructive Testing) Level III certified.
• In-depth understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant will be subject to a security investigation.  This position may require an additional background screening for base access.
• Applicant must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance issued by the US Government.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels
• Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
