• Move, handle, prepare, and maintain product/inventory to meet shipping, receiving or production requirements.
• Operate appropriate job specific equipment i.e. industrial stapler, banding machine, bar code scanners, and forklift when moving, handling, preparing and maintaining product/inventory.
• Maintain accurate storage of product/inventory to confirm with FIFO (first-in-first-out) inventory procedures and maximize inventory accuracy, including stock location maintenance.
• Cycle counting as required in the work center.
• Understand packaging requirements to ensure appropriate storage/shipping of, and prevent damage to product/inventory.
• Daily data entry of inventory and order documentation into system to maintain inventory accuracy, i.e. SAP or another ERP system, Fed Ex IP, Fed Ex IPD, Purolator, etc.
• File and route documentation to appropriate departments for further processing.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills i.e. word-processing, spreadsheets and e-mail, SAP or another ERP system, and appropriate computer systems for inventory/goods movement.
• Excellent accuracy to identify all aspects of receiving, moving, forming and shipping of material/ products.
• Basic level data entry skills with accuracy.
• Transportation of dangerous goods knowledge.
• Possess a valid lift truck certificate with a satisfactory health and safety record, or be willing to obtain a forklift certificate.
• Good communication skills when dealing with internal or external customers.
• Excellent customer focus fulfilling day to day duties and responsibilities or when required to work beyond scheduled times to meet customer delivery dates.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, reaching, packing and moving of material/product when fulfilling day to day duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to work shift work and/or flexible hours as determined by the work centre.
