GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

CDI Government Services is currently recruiting an Electronic Cooling Water Engineer in Norfolk, VA for the IWS 8.0 program. 

• Responsibile to identify any impacts to ECW as a result of a new system or piece of equipment being installed

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Review the system/equipment information to determine the ECW impacts if any
• If impacted, provide direction on what must be changed to ECW equipment to support the new system/equipment being installed
• Provide input for inclusion in the TDP

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-10 years of relevant experience and a minimum of BA/BS degree is required in engineering.  A Professional Engineer’s license may substitute for 2 years of experience.  OR 14 years of Professional / Military experience relevant to Navy Surface Ship Combat Systems.

• Must be a US Citizen
• Proficient with Microsoft products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant must have a current Secret clearance and may be subject to a security investigation to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
• Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
