GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

• CODE 267:   Full time contractor support personnel needed for this discipline. This tasking is to assist Norfolk Naval Shipyard Engineering and Planning Department Code 267 Ships Non-Propulsion Piping with Planning Yard duties. The mission of the branch is to furnish engineering services for U.S. Navy L-Deck Amphibious (LHA and LHD) LHD-6 FY18 DPMA, LHD-7 FY18 PMA and Aircraft Carrier (CVN) CVN 69 FY17 PIA and CVN77

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Ship check Engineering Technical Services on board U.S. Navy ships to obtain data required to develop Ship Installation Drawings.
• Troubleshooting on board U.S. Navy ships.
• Develop or check Ship Installation Drawings in two dimensional CAD (2-D CAD)
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Updates data bases to support of Ship Systems and Components

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate and advance training received at college level or while in the military.
• 5 Years relevant experience supporting Repair and Modification of U.S. Navy ships
• Active DOD security clearance.
• Clean driving record.
• Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain a security clearance issued by the US Government.
