Position: -                   Sr Project Manager

Position Overview

The position requires delivery of program of projects globally by managing a team of project managers and/or should be responsible for execution of large project of size $20 million and above, defining and developing Project Management methodologies by working closely with the PMO- Head. He/ she should be able to define processes and create WoW for projects, looks into overall project delivery and develop relationship with external and internal stakeholders including C-level executives. He/ She would be responsible for engaging in early phase of projects and work closely with the internal as well as external customer teams on Program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Sets the direction for the entire Projects team, builds and leads a vibrant team
• Fair Understanding of Recovery & Resilience management life cycle.
• Recovery testing data collection, analysis and reporting with recommendation of alterations to improve recovery performance
• Creates, Contributes and Implements the best practices
• Owns and is accountable for scope, effort, budget and delivery
• Is proactive and the ultimate escalation point on all matters related to all programs undertaken and team management
• Will look at Process efficiency and innovate methodology with a view to maximize value provided to the business units
• Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with customer / Business Units
• Viewed and perceived as a Role model and a genuine Team Player

   

  Experience

   

• Total 9 to 12 years of experience, out of which at least 3 years at a senior management level.
• Experience in managing diverse and multiple teams and complete ownership and responsibility of the team 
• Coordinate to Plan & exercising of recovery testing
• Fair understanding of recovery strategies and various Infrastructure Technologies – Like Storage, Backup, Networks, Security and Operating Systems (WINTEL, Linux, Solaris).
• Experience in identification of Technology domain causing incident or issues during a disaster recovery exercise.
• Coordinating and Root Cause Analysis for major incident (Severity 1) during recovery exercises.
• Experience in determining the adequate test environment drill & test plan requirements
• Coordinating with various technology teams to develop drill Test Plans and Test Evaluation Summaries across heterogeneous infrastructure  layers
• Experience in Testing DR environment for datacenter failover and failback
• Drill execution co-ordination, incident / issues tracking during drills
• Resource planning and balanced resource utilization across different Projects
   

  Mandatory Skills

   

• Ability to analysis critical factors impacting the recovery activities and success.
• Should have undergone specialized training / Certification in Disaster Recovery & Management.
• Task Coordination and Project Management skills
• Network / Security / Storage / Backup Technology related experience.
• Virtualization technology experience would be added advantage.
• Should have managed Projects and Large Programs independently.
• Manages conflict constructively, can identify areas of improvement in team thinking.
• Should have good analytical skills and eyes of detail, assess risk thoroughly and understands cause & effect systems.
• Knowledge and experience of working on diverse business models and team models with their pros and cons
• Hands on with MS project, MS Excel and familiarity with other Project Management Tools
• Infrastructure domain knowledge – Transition and Transformation projects,/and/or experience in delivery of technology projects like product development, implementation of tools or systems Integration projects
• Experience of Global Delivery with offshore/ onsite model.
• Understanding of the entire engagement lifecycle starting from engagement initiation, transition to steady state

  Qualification

   

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/ Engineering/MBA or other management qualification
• Professional certifications such as ABCP/CBCP/ BS25999 or ISO22301 would be added advantage.
• Technology related Certifications will be an added advantage.
• Preferred PMP certified
• Preferred Extensive Project Management Training
• Proven Track record from Business Management perspective
