GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

• Provide Configuration Data & Maintenance Management for various U.S. Coast Guard Surface Assets’ Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems.  Assets can include Patrol Boats, Icebreakers, Ocean-Going Tugs and Buoy Tenders and all Cutters. 

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Perform both initial provisioning upon system acquisition or through an Engineering Change process (TCTO), as well as Re-provisioning due to major support or philosophy changes.
• Route Repair Code Determination (RC) forms based on research and item historical data.
• Engage commercial vendors to acquire cost data, availability, and technical documentation.
• Create and route Supply Support Requests (SSR) to allow the Coast Guard to be an official user of Other Government Agency (OGA) NSN’s.  

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred 4 years’ experience in Naval Engineering Supply Support System (NESSS) with Item Entry Proposal (IEP), HM&E type Allowance Parts List (APL), Allowance Equipage List (AEL), and case creation and tracking capabilities.
• Possess basic understanding of the U.S. Coast Guard Configuration Management business practices.
• Possess a working knowledge of Coast Guard platforms and be comfortable with and physically capable of performing onboard validations of configuration equipment and parts data.
