GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide Configuration Data & Maintenance Management for various U.S. Coast Guard Surface Assets’ Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems.  Assets can include Patrol Boats, Icebreakers, Ocean-Going Tugs and Buoy Tenders and all Cutters. 

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Provide sustainment support in the areas of Configuration & Maintenance Management for U.S. Coast Guard Patrol Boats, Icebreakers, Ocean-Going Tugs and Buoy Tenders and Cutters.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Coast Guard platforms and be comfortable with and physically capable of performing onboard validations of configuration equipment and parts data.
  • Capable of reviewing, analyzing, and processing configuration data from multiple government maintained data sources provided in various formats for the purpose of maintaining accurate configurations for each of the U.S. Coast Guard surface assets in FLS/NESSS.
  • Provide Organizational level (ship’s force) and Depot level (shore side) support in the development, update, and verification stages of Maintenance Standards (MS), Recurring Tasks (RT), Maintenance Items (MI), Configuration Item Functional Descriptions (CIFD), Cutter Maintenance Plans (CMP), Maintenance Requirements Lists (MRL) and CM-SETs.
  • Manage updates to property values for Configuration Item Functional Descriptions (CIFD).
  • Create, manage, migrate, and close-out Baseline CM-Set’s to related Platform Load List associated with Engineering Changes (EC) and Data Clean-up (DC).
  • Create, manage, and update Maintenance Standards (MS) associated with Recurring Tasks (RT), Maintenance Items (MI), Engineering Changes (EC), cutter Maintenance Decks, Cutter Maintenance Plans (CMP) and Data Clean-up (DC).
  • Complete various Maintenance Standard or Configuration support tasks (i.e. training, presentation of data, analysis, running reports, etc.) in support of the configuration management and sustainment of LREPL assets.
  • Maintain tracking Review, analyze, and process configuration data from multiple government maintained data sources provided in various formats for the purpose of maintaining accurate configurations for U.S. Coast Guard Patrol Boats, Icebreakers, Ocean-Going Tugs and Buoy Tenders and Cutters in FLS/NESSS.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preferred 4 years’ experience providing USCG entities with HM&E Configuration Data & Maintenance Management for CG assets, including 282’ WMEC, 378’ WHEC, 399’ WAGB, 418’ WSML.
  • Working knowledge of a Maintenance Procedures Card (MPC), both “legacy” and Asset Computerized Maintenance System (ACMS) format.
  • Basic understanding of Preventative and Corrective maintenance principals, MPC development, and corresponding MPC accomplishment.
  • Experience working with Coast Guard/Navy logistic systems, i.e. FLS, NESSS, and CDMM-QA databases and technical databases,
  • Experience with Haystack, WebFLIS, Fedlog is desired.
  • Knowledge of the Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) supply support procedures.
  • Good writing skills, utilizing the applicable documentation resources.
  • Proficient in the use of Coast Guard Standard Workstation III.
  • Experience in Microsoft® Power Point©, Microsoft® Word©, Microsoft® Access©, Microsoft Paint®, Microsoft® Excel©, and Microsoft® Project©.
  • Proficient in independent research using the Worldwide Web.
  • Possess a basic understanding of U.S. Coast Guard SFLC Provisioning and Supply Support business practices
