BID MANAGER- RAIL CONTROL 


DESCRIPTION:

Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as the Bid Specialist- you will develop creative, technical responses to commercial proposals for the company Americas (North & South America). You will contribute to bid development by providing competitive and profitable product solutions in support of company strategic growth and financial objectives.

In your role you will:

- Oversee all aspects of bid preparation and submission related to technical, commercial, and financial proposals for rail signaling solutions and services;
- Manage cross-functional/divisional proposal and governance review to facilitate a winning bid;
- Lead negotiations with customer on commercial and technical aspects, with support from respective functions;
- Formulate goals and strategies for functions to create competitive, winning bids;
- Prepare mandate and action logs, track progress and align actions with data;
- Manage the Blue Book Process to assure compliance during the proposal phase;
- Manage financials and verify all costs to reflect accurate and executable estimates;
- You will formulate and review contract documents through execution, as well as transfer to the Project Management department upon successful award;
- Build bid and proposal pricing, strategy, and text per Bombardier’s interests and the customer’s requirements.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:
- You are fluent in Spanish; - and Portuguese is a PLUS
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline; a Master’s degree will be considered an asset;
- You possess at least five (5) years of experience managing and developing bids, engineering estimates, commercial proposals, etc.;
- You demonstrate experience with leading and negotiating terms and commercial contracts between $2 million to $200 million;
- You demonstrate a proven track record of achieving results;
- You possess strong negotiation and influencing skills;
- You demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office and other internet applications;
- You demonstrate the ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;

- Your English communication skills are excellent.

Additional information: The incumbent of this position must be available to travel domestically and internationally (North & South America) as required.
