Construction Quality Control Manager

Primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that the quality requirements are conveyed to the supervisory and other personnel performing the work.
  • Take necessary actions to ensure that the work complies with the contract documents.
  • Implement the three-phase control system for all aspects of the work.
  • Ensure that all required inspections are scheduled, performed, and documented.
  • Ensure that all required testing is scheduled, performed, and documented.
  • Ensure that all construction deficiencies are identified and tracked, and verify correction.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a Submittal Register identifying every submittal required and the current status of each submittal.
  • Document all quality control activities on a daily basis by completing a Contractor's Quality Control Report.
  • Ensure that the as-built condition of the construction is properly documented.
  • Interface with the Client representatives for all construction quality matters.
  • Ensure that the submittals for the associated phase of work will be approved prior to the start of the work.
  • Stopping work, when necessary, to ensure that work does not proceed upon or conceal defective work.

Position Requirements: 

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 5+ years of industry related experience, or a combination of education and direct experience in construction management. 
  • Experience from design through site development and finish stages of electrical construction projects, and expertise in power station construction is strongly preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of quality practices and practical experience in root cause analysis are essential.
