The Technical Solution Manager (TSM) is the technical deal leader and a trusted client advisor. The TSM is responsible for supporting the sales team by being the solution lead and owning the technical aspects of the solution. The TSM is responsible for the development and costing of client technical solutions - requires the ability to not only interact as part of an clients technical team with the client but also with the clients sales leads who own the opportunity.   The TSM must be able to lead multinational, multi-discipline matrixed teams of subject-matter experts and solution architects. In this position, the TSM must be able to use a combination of client  and non-client offerings, services, labor, assets, hardware, and software to meet client business requirements. Technical Solution Managers understand the client requirements and orchestrate the development of simple to complex, multi-year, custom solutions and associated cost cases. The directions established by the TSM are the foundation of clients solution and heavily influence sales, human resources, and contract and delivery strategies for the engagement.

An ideal candidate will have a history of strong team leadership and demonstrated personnel management. The candidate must be able to demonstrate that successfully produced solutions have been executed as part of stand-alone or RFS contracts.  Participation in large, complex global deals is a plus.  An ideal candidate would have the ability to articulate the clients engagement process (or the ability to adapt other outsourcing vendor processes to clients) . At least some familiarity with client service offerings including Infrastructure Systems, Cloud/XaaS, Data Center, Outsourcing/Managed Services, Resiliency, and Technology Support is required.  A reasonable familiarity with MF HW components would be an asset, as well as client and CA SW.

Necessary skills include:
• very strong teaming skills and the ability to support multi-threaded tasks simultaneously
• use of complex financial spread sheets, including creating and manipulating formulas & pivot tables (with strong analytic skills)
• use of technical documentation toolsets (ppt & word) - visio is a plus
• strong technical writing skills (and the ability to pick up Intellectual Capital and apply it to the solution at hand).
• the TSM must be (or able to become) proficient in clients SDM (Solution Definition Manager) - this is a critical tool in developing costs for HW/SW and client delivery functions.
• ability to work and play well with others (even when they are being annoying) is essential
