Java Developer  

On behalf of our client in the Automotive industry, Asset, a CDI Company (or CDI Professional Services) is seeking Java Developer with a thorough understanding of application development using JAVA EE with a DB2 backend. 

Applicant needs to be a strong communicator with the ability to work with local and remote developers, production associates and department engineers. The role will also focus on application build, quality assurance and continuing developing an automated testing suite.

Mandatory Skills:

• Computer Science degree or equivalent post-secondary education
• Programming skill in JAVA EE with solid experience in designing and coding Java Fat Clients, web applications and backend services.
• Experience using
  • WebSphere Application Servers.
  • IBM DB2
  • IBM AIX, Linux and Windows OS
  • JIRA, Confluence, SVN, SmartBear
• Exposure to IBM IDE tool set for Java (Rational Application Developer 7.5 + )
• PLC / OPC / deviceWISE communication interfaces (TCPIP / Socket programming) 
• Experience with QA testing
• Ability to be organized and detail-oriented with strong
• Experience within a manufacturing environment

• JavaScript
• XML, CSS, etc.
• Agile methodologies
• JEE stack – JPA
• Java FX
• Swing 
• Spring Framework
• RESTful Services/JSON
• Manual & Automated Testing utilizing test framework

 Assignment Length:

• Start from hire date to March 31 2018, high probability of long-term yearly renewal

                             (based on HCM fiscal year April 1 to March 31)
