Title: Inventory Analyst, Google Play Gift Card Operations (see attachment)

Overview

The Google Play team is looking for a creative and talented professional who will be responsible for consolidating and organizing large amounts of data, and providing analytical and operations support for the Play Gift Cards Operations business. The Analyst will be responsible for obtaining and translating data into meaningful interpretations and, where relevant, implement process improvements. The metrics and analyses developed will serve as a key input in product development and operations decision-making. The analyst will work collaboratively across the gift card team (e.g., Operations Managers across the globe, Sales Operations, Card Production), as well as with teams outside of Google such as the integrator partners.

Top Responsibilities: 1. Generate and maintain monthly reports on gift card inventory levels 2. Obtain, clean, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources 3. Establish and maintain tools/templates to better optimize & track card inventory and recommend improvements

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory analysis and management to avoid low stock and overstock of cards
• Develop process improvements to achieve inventory goals/ KPIs
• Identify key opportunities and risks as it relates to gift card inventory and ordering
• Assist in inventory risk assessment and mitigation activities
• Work with Card Procurement Manager to track orders and ensure on-time execution of milestones related to card delivery
• Support information transfer between internal teams and external partners

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree with 2-5 yrs of operations experience.
• High degree of proficiency in spreadsheet applications such as Excel, Google Sheets specifically formulas, v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
• 1-3+ years experience in an analytical role
• 1-3+ years experience with SQL
• Critical thinker/problem solver who can break down complex activities
• Ability to keep organized and clearly communicate across a fast paced team
• Able to work across organizations, business functions, and with global team members in different time zones.
