CDI Inc., is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of Project/Program Manager. This is a contract position and the duration is expected to be 12 months+. This would be a W2 position and you would work onsite at the client’s location in Mountain View, CA. Project Overview:

We are looking for a structured, versatile and highly experienced project manager who will play a key role in helping us push our technology forward. If you have experience as a project manager on teams developing devices, Android SDKs, or an application ecosystem, then we are interested in talking to you. In this role you'll be a critical member of a fast-paced cross-functional startup team and must thrive in a high energy, time-constrained, multitasking environment.

Overall Responsibilities:

Define scope and break down of work leading to product/SDK release. Evaluate resources and time to deliver tasks.

Follow up on daily progress and find new ways to ensure deadlines are met.

Coordinate and lead daily stand ups, Sprint planning, Sprint reviews and retrospectives. Handle routine tasks to keep things running smoothly (scrum, run meetings)

Monitor and drive product development. Remove impediments to team focus and unblock team members (organizationally, securing software licenses, ordering machines) Assist in connecting teams functional groups (Eng, SW, HW, ID, UX, QA) Collaborate with other internal groups around development and development timelines Train and coach team member on agile development process

Top 3 daily responsibilities:

Manage work of 10-15 SW developers across multiple sites and geographies, both internal and external performers.

Be a key participant in product strategy/direction discussions. Collaborate with team leadership and product owners to develop major milestones and manage the team towards these milestones

Required Skills: BS degree in computer science, related technical field 5-10 years experience in project management Technical experience in mobile app development an asset

Experience with agile projects and development. Proven organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands Able to drive internal and external teams, handle pushback, yet remain pleasant to work with must be a key team leader, approachable but firm

Experience working with teams developing complex products involving both hardware and software components.

Able to deliver quality work in a fast-paced startup-like environment and be an agent of change.

Thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively.

Experience in programming, debugging, and design.

Nice-to-have:

Understanding of computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms.

Experience with embedded applications and hardware.

Experience with wearables and wearable app development.

Experience with OCR and handwriting recognition
