One of our clients is seeking an experienced scientist with strong research background in computational biophysics for a 3+ months contract project. Projects will involve use of molecular modeling at different resolution to gain an understanding of structure, function, and small molecule interaction of biological systems (e.g. receptors, transporters, transmembrane proteins) related to neuro-signaling and neurological disorders. A Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, biology, computer science, or related field is required. Strong analytical and programming (Fortran/C++) skill

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute biomolecular modeling and simulations
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Programming in C++, Fortran, or Perl.
  • Preparing manuscripts for publication in high impact journals, presenting research in scientific conferences.

Required Skills:

  • MS/Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, computational biology or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in molecular modeling and simulations
  • 3+ years of programming in Fortran, C++, or any other programming language
  • 3+ years of Shell scripting in a Linux environment
  • 3+ years of experience in LAMMPS, GROMACS, NAMD
  • 3+ years of experience in VMD, Pymol, or similar software.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to work within an inter-disciplinary team are essential.
