The Project Management Specialist 1 is responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining all aspects of the planning and scheduling effort on assigned projects in accordance with company policies and procedures. This includes developing schedules for proposals and producing a coordinated Critical Path Schedule/Critical Chain Schedule for entire projects and highlighting any potential problem areas. Schedules include all engineering, design, procurement, activities of the assigned projects.

 

He/She will generate planning and scheduling deliverables including preparation of work break down structures, schedules to align with scope and resources.

Tracking of actual work against schedules, performing variance analysis studies, and updating of operating reports.

He/She will provide the necessary tools for project control. Perform critical path or critical chain analysis on the project and report the results to the management.

He/She will provide change management support, schedule control, supports the development of a project measurement system, percent complete and prepares fever charts, and forecasting.

Develop and implement Visual task execution management

He/She works with Project Leads to identify strategies for achieving project milestone and completion dates in spite of unforeseen delays.

Interface with other functions to align timelines and funding, monitor progress and assist resolution of issues.

Required Education, Skills and Abilities:

 

Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Engineering or Business is required or equivalent experience.

Must have a minimum of 3 years of planning and scheduling experience in engineering, preferably in industrial gasturbine or power industries using Microsoft Project software.

Proven record of project control (scope, resources and budget) experience working on large scale projects.

Must be proficient in MS Project in creating schedules; modify task relationships, assign resources, analyze resources across projects, print and view reports, resolve resource conflicts and work with multiple of projects.

Thorough knowledge of engineering/manufacturing and resource planning and material management is preferred

Excellent analytical and written and oral communication skills
