Major Job Functions

Many positions within our Engineering group, performing requirements engineering, design, development, integration and documentation for software systems. Communications skills in working with engineers, project managers, and customers are a must.

• Algorithm Development
• Debris mitigation
• Object tracking
• Object discrimination
• Simulation development
• Perform Software requirements analysis
• Perform Software application design analysis
• Perform Software application design in a variety of languages, including legacy
• Run and debug real-time embedded systems
• Generate Software design documentation, including UML
• Software implementation and unit testing, including documenting results
• Use Software Configuration Management tools
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
• Support Test Engineering during formal testing phase of the project
• Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
• Supports project developing solutions for Modernization and Sustainment tasks
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Work environment

Work is generally conducted in an office environment. Task specific training will be provided as required.

Desired Experience & Skills

• BS
• Strong mathematics background
• Working in a team environment and collaborating with others to solve problems
• Programming with C++, C, Java and Ada
• Experience developing and/or maintaining software on Unix-based and Windows operating systems
• Experience with real-time OS
• Modeling and simulation with MATLAB
• ClearCase CM
