Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Urbana, MD (onsite)

Project Duration: 12 Months Plus

Work Timings: 8:00 am – 5: 00 pm

Background processing: The hired candidate will require to complete thorough back ground checks that can take several weeks to process. Candidates are permitted to report to work after checks are complete.

Scope of Work:

Level 4-5 Systems Administrator with 5 plus years of experience supporting a large scale enterprise.

Solaris and Linux are primary skills needed to support a large number of servers. AIX knowledge is needed to support a small number of servers.

Solaris Skills:

• Solaris Version 10 and 11.
• Veritas Volume Manager (VM).
• Veritas Cluster Server (CS).
• ORACLE SPARC T2 / T3 / T4.
• ORACLE Sun Fire Server hardware experience.
• Logical Domain (LDOM) experience.
• Shell Scripting skills
• User admin experience Backup and Recovery Experience.
• Managing Networking and System Security.
• Performance monitoring and tuning experience.

Linux Skills:
 

• Suse Linux 10 and 11.
• Veritas Volume Manager (VM).
• Veritas Cluster Server (CS).
• Suse Xen Virtualization.
• VMWare 5.x or higher skills.
• IBM X Servers / HS22 and HS 23 Blade Server experience.
• Shell Scripting skills.
• User admin experience Backup and Recovery Experience.
• Managing Networking and System Security.
• Performance monitoring and tuning experience.

AIX Skills:

• Experience on IBM Power series servers with AIX version 6.x or higher.
• Administration of VIOs and LPARs.
• Managing HMC systems and NIM servers / Veritas Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and Veritas Cluster Server (CS).
• Shell Scripting.
• User admin experience Backup and Recovery Experience.
• Managing Networking and System Security.
• Performance monitoring and tuning experience.
