GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

CDI Government Services is currently recruiting a Combat System Interface Baseline (Lead) Engineer in Washington DC for the IWS 8.0 program. 

• Responsible for the CSIE knowledge for 1st and 2nd digit baselines
• This position reports to the Senior Design Engineer / Integrator

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Understand NAVSEA and Military standards/specifications for cables, connectors, back shell
• Translate system requirements into interface cabling designs
• Interpret and validate Interface Control Drawings (ICDs) for cabinets and equipment in the Frigate Combat System
• Verify interface requirements and types
• Review GFI to identify interface requirements and coordinate

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of relevant experience and a minimum of BA/BS degree is required in engineering, math or a relevant field.  A Professional Engineer’s license may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Proficient with Microsoft products

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant must have a current Secret clearance and may be subject to a security investigation to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
• Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
