In this role, you will lead a team of writers by helping them to:
• Understand the users’ needs for the content and translate those needs into compelling content
• Research and gather the information needed to create new content or revise existing content
• Organize, restructure, and present the information in clear, simple, and consistent language that meets the needs of the user
• Deliver the information in a usable format for multiple users on multiple devices
You should have expertise in the following areas of content management: content design, content authoring, review cycles, publishing, and translation. You should also possess a deep knowledge of usability and what it means to create or revise content to make it user-friendly. Knowledge of content metrics gathering and reporting is a plus. In this role, you will be working with a distributed team of content writers, Product Owners, UX designers, subject matter experts, and other Help@IBM team members.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, journalism, or technical writing
• 5+ years writing or editing experience
• Team Leadership experience, including presentation skills
• Creative problem solver with a focus on helping team members and stakeholders understand the value of great content
• Excellent online communications, writing skills, good listening skills, multi-tasking skills, ability to work individually
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Some experience in User Experience Design
• Some experience in Project Management
• Experience in Visual Design beneficial in support of creating visual artifacts
• Agile Methodology Experience
