Web Security Specialist

Our client-a global leader in financial services is looking for a Web Security Specialist to join their team.

Responsibilities

- Technical requirements gathering, marketplace evaluation and lab evaluation of new products.

- Building business cases to justify product selections, articulating the security value and product vision and roadmaps of the control to senior management.

- Rigorous certification testing of infrastructure proving interoperability with other technology in mission critical plants.

- Interface with clients such as CERT, Security Administration, Security Operations and Enterprise Infrastructure groups to understand business drivers, so that products and solutions can be integrated meeting the requirements and needs of clients.

- Creation/supplementation of detailed documentation for operational handover of products.

- Designing global architectures to provide cost-effective, scalable and high availability products aligning global strategies with regional needs and demands.

- Training both teammates and other parts of the Security Technology and IT Security organization.

- Serve as an escalation point for senior operations team member to help resolve advance issues or outages that may be related to network security products or solutions.

Qualifications

- 5-10 years of experience:

- Proven track record in working with related large scale, complex secure web gateway engineering and infrastructure initiatives

- Deep understanding of web technologies and http flow troubleshooting, from underlying network level concerns through to browser webapp rendering

- Strong enterprise experience with Bluecoat proxySG (or similar SWG), including configuration, content filtering, malware, troubleshoots and policy.

- Understanding of Authentication protocols (NTLM, Kerberos) wrt. SWG

- Security log analytics and/or scripting skills, such as Splunk.

- OSI Layer3+ protocols and debugging/reading pcaps, inc. TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, FTP, SSH, etc.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent English is required

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing documentation, training users in complex topics, presentations, interacting with external vendors, upper management, colleagues and clients.

Assets:

- Scripting capability, any of Python, Perl, BASH, PowerShell, etc.

- Experience with load-balancing and clustering, DLP, AV, Malware

- Broad exposure to IT Infrastructure within the Financial Industry

- Experience in working with people in different regions and time zones

- Experience working with RedHat Enterprise Linux.
