Job Description:

This position is for a HW Test Engineering (Contractor) within the Test Development Group. As part of the product development team, this HW test engineer works in the capacity of HW design verification plan creation and execution, design debugging of the ATE systems and instrument modules, and custom test bed design. This individual will work with the project design teams to: characterize / analyze / understand / debug the HW design, and provide recommendations on closing any gaps between the product capability and product requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop system level HW design verification test plans, test-benches, attributes, test cases and coverage analysis against the system functional and performance requirements.
  • Execute/support DV and reliability testing at the functional modules and system levels to achieve verification and product quality evaluation with the high quality and productivity.
  • The design verification may include analog, digital and mixed signal testing and performance evaluation, noise performance, EMI, worst case estimation and tolerance analysis.
  • Review schematics and design documentations.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional development team to close any gaps between product capability and product requirements.
  • Collaborate/engage with design and NPI teams to address the product design and process quality issues.

 

Minimum Qualifications /Experience & Education:

  • Minimum of a BSEE, and MS preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct design and testing experience in one or more of the following areas: power supplies, analog/mixed signal/digital with ability of performing system verification as well as functional block and circuit evaluation. 
  • Solid Understanding of digital and analog hardware fundamentals and design concepts. Ability to analyze schematics and understand circuit performance.
  • Proven work experience in product testing and HW design verification and debugging.
  • Programming skill in C++ are a plus
  • Good interpersonal skill and a team-player with ability to manage deliverables to align with the project goals
