Job Function:

• Working with analog circuitry to update, replace/ repair or enhance existing Public Address Systems used in commercial and industrial fire alarm systems.  Working primarily with with Audio Amplifiers to make them more reliable.

Responsibilities:

• Analog Design Engineer responsible for the design, development, and implementation of new products and supporting existing products for the fire alarm market.
• Audio experience a plus. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field required.
• 5+ years Product Hardware Development experience.
• Experience with the design of audio amplifiers and high performance switch mode power supplies.
• Design experience with digital circuitry, microcontrollers, and some firmware desired.
• Familiarity with international safety and EMC requirements a plus.
• Performs complex maintenance, enhancement, testing and support of existing hardware.
• Completes complex design, development, testing, and modification of hardware.
• Performs the quality process by the rigorous and detailed execution of module, sub-system and system test procedures.
• Performs designing, developing, and implementing complex hardware solutions while adhering to manufacturing capabilities.
• Completes all engineering documentation to support a design effort.
• Completes estimates for complex task duration, supporting the process for developing and maintaining schedules, cost and quality.
• May complete complex technical writings. Completes review of complex specifications and other documentation to determine hardware engineering requirements.
