GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • The primary focus of this position is related to marketing, sales, and proposals for Government clients, primarily in support of Navy programs and requirements. The Senior DoD IT Business Development Manager will be assigned lead responsibility to the Department of Defense IT market. 

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • The Senior DoD IT Business Development Manager will report to the Government Services Director of Business Development.
  • Conduct client and competitor market research and analysis
  • Develop Account Prospecting Plans
  • Develop Account Capture Plans
  • Assemble, coordinate, and manage Account Capture Teams and Pursuits
  • Conduct Competitor and Win Probability analysis
  • Develop Sales Call Plans
  • Conduct Price-to-Win Analysis
  • Develop Value Propositions, and Pricing and Win-Strategies
  • Prepare Proposal Executive Summaries
  • Participate in Proposal Blue, Pink, Red, and Silver Team Reviews
  • Coordinate, manage, and participate in Industry Trade Shows.
  • Identify and coordinate Teaming Partners
  • Identify and manage Prime Contracting and Subcontracting opportunities

 

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in, marketing, sales, and proposals with the Government marketplace
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, InformationTechnology, and/or Business is preferred
  • Special training courses in sales and proposal development
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Experience in conducting market research and analysis
  • Experience in developing Account Prospecting and Capture Plans
  • Experience in the use of business development Call Plans
  • Experience in conducting Competitor and Win Probability Analysis
  • Experience in developing Value Propositions and Proposal Executive Summaries
  • Experience in Prime and Subcontract Pursuits
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating Trade Show participation
  • DoD IT experience required.
  • Experience with and is expected to pursue opportunities in the range of $10M - $50M.
  • Merger and Acquisition (M&A) experience highly desired including the coordination and/or participation in M&A activities.
  • General knowledgeable of FAR and DFAR Regulations

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
