Description:

Raytheon Professional Services (RPS), located in Tewksbury, MA is looking for a Training and Events Coordinator. The person who fills this position is primarily responsible for the administration of logistics support for RPS' training and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Training administration to include course/class/meeting scheduling, planning and operation for local and remote locations
  • Arranging and scheduling for training facilities/classrooms and required equipment
  • Corresponding with students (e.g., confirmations, cancellations, substitutions, etc.)
  • Coordinating and distributing pre-work to participants
  • Organizing reproduction services of course materials
  • Ordering textbooks
  • Selecting and ordering catering services
  • Conferring with internal and external customers on services and associated requirements
  • Reporting generation
  • Setting up and tearing down classroom
  • Handling phone inquiries and customer interface
  • Implementing extensive use of training management database (Learning Management system) to schedule and document training experience
  • Using a Workflow Management System to track and manage information about requirements and completion of tasks associated with event support on a daily basis

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate’s degree or higher, preferred

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of work experience planning events that utilized customer requirements and established work processes; familiarity of the defense industry, a plus
  • Experience supporting events working with various levels throughout an organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable of Lotus Notes (intermediate level)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and telephone presence
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships while prioritizing and managing work assignments and driving them to completion
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and adaptable to fast-paced, flexible work environments
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work assignments in order to meet project deadlines
  • Proven attention to detail, and ability to work with minimum supervision—either in a team environment or independently
  • Capable to identify opportunities for organizational growth, as well as recognizing risks and presenting options for resolving
  • Ability to travel to local Raytheon sites, as needed
  • May require moving course materials and lifting up to 35 pounds
