GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • CDI is seeking a Mid Level Engineer/Systems Analyst: Workforce Development (WFD) Lead Instructor – Integrated Test Engineer in either Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA.  This position is contingent upon contract award.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Develop, execute, track contract/task order budgets, identify and mitigate risk.
  • Develop and execute task work plan according to task scope, deadlines and client needs.
  • Provide leadership and resources to task personnel to ensure successful and effective task order performance in the areas of safety; quality of work; cost productivity; compliance with established Customer procedures; timeliness; accuracy; and cooperation.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to identify requirements, plan and formulate work plans, organize and coordinate tasks, assign priorities, monitor task execution, develop and track financial progress, and assess contract/task order performance to ensure performance meet or exceed requirements and customer expectations.
  • Accountable for the quality, on-time and on-budget delivery of projects.
  • Accountable for design, development, delivery, installation and quality of all project deliverables.
  • Team with customers to ensure consistent and seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of technical design principles and theories.
  • Manage daily project team activities including progress, customer interactions, issue resolution and issue escalation.
  • Manage the customer relationship, including status meetings, gathering customer requests, maintaining customer satisfaction, and status reporting.
  • Manage customer’s expectations and establishes the task team’s expectations by defining scope and role responsibilities.
  • Anticipate problems and opportunities and addresses them appropriately and effectively.

 

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with Navy Surface Ship Repair and Modernization
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with Regional Maintenance Center Project Team Roles and Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering classroom instruction.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience gained because of in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the related Project Team Role.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interaction skills with employees from all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Power Point

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must have a current Secret clearance, will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
