Senior Designer

-        Effectively deliver Customer /1 (batch, SQL, and/or online) code & unit test assignments on time, on budget, and within quality expectations set by Client
-        Follow Client's SDP policies, management structures and reporting procedures for aspects of the project’s environment  
-        Design Customer /1 Application Software solutions by translating a specification of business requirements into a technical systems design  
-        Assess current system design  
-        Analyze impacts of all the documented requirements, design changes and consequences of changes upon the existing Customer /1 system  
-        Ensure that system documentation is completed to the required standard
-        In addition to that specified above, Senior Designers will:
- Work with BA to identify application level gaps
- Work with BA to lead requirements sessions from technical perspective
- Work with BA to finalize requirements and application level impacts
- Complete Macro design of assigned application-related changes
- Complete Micro design of assigned application-related changes
- Create solution estimates for assigned application-related changes
- Produce SDP detailed design documentation in line with the Joint Procedure Manual (JPM)
- Create solution estimates for application(s) and interface changes.
- Provide inputs for presentations for monthly and weekly project management board meetings in addition to IT Project Status Reports (PSR)
- Provide technical inputs for stage gate assessments.
- Provide inputs for project plan at stream level of detail.
- Code and unit test technical modules, database procedures and Customer /1 Online dialogs.
- Support UAT and implementation processes.
- Package code and interdependent modules.
- Analyze post implementation defects and support production environment by ensuring that there is no service disruption.  

- Skills:

• Minimum of 10 years of Utilities industry experience, Business analysis & application design experience
• Proficient in:
  ·        Customer /1 implementation on Mainframe
  ·        JCL, COBOL, Assembler, CICS, VSAM, DB2
  ·        MS Visual Studio 2010 (VC++)
  ·        SharePoint, and Visio
  ·        Unix, Shell scripting, SQL programming.
  ·        Solution Delivery Process (SDP)
• Experience in CIS workbench and method adoption workshop
• Strong functional knowledge of identified interface points with Customer /1 CSS, of assigned applications, and assigned databases
• Proven problem analysis and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, adjust effectively to changing priorities, work independently as well as working cooperatively within a team environment.
