GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

CDI Government Services is currently recruiting a Senior Site Manager in Norfolk, VA for the IWS 8.0 program. 

  • Manages and coordinates organization and operations of test team personnel 
  • Assists Frigate Team Officer/Frigate Team Manager (FTO/FTM) with the development and implementation of organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals
  • Reviews, analyzes, and prepares reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, status of work in progress, and problems encountered

 

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Assigns or delegates responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminates policies and objectives to supervisors/staff

  • Reports to FTO and FTM
  • Organizes resources to ensure effective production of goods and/or services
  • Gives work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
  • Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices
  • Ensures adequate training of staff and employee compliance to organization's policies and practices
  • Coordinates activities of test team personnel with related activities of other activities to ensure efficiency and economy
  • Monitors, analyzes costs and prepares department budget
  • Prepares reports and records on department activities for management
  • May initiate or authorize employee hire, promotion, discharge, or transfer

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience and a minimum of BA/BS degree is required
  • Experience with Navy combat system test programs is desired
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must have a current Secret clearance and may be subject to a security investigation to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Must comply with Company’s Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
