CDI Inc., is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of Packaging Engineering Program Manager. This is a contract position and the duration is expected to be 12 months+. This would be a W2 position and you would work onsite at the client’s location in Mountain View, CA. Title: User Experience Researcher Location: MTV and SF

We follow a simple but vital premise in the User Experience group: "Focus on the user and all else will follow." We're passionately interested in our users and strive to learn everything we can about their goals and needs, attitudes and emotions to help define the products and experiences we create. The UX team is a critical driving force behind gathering these insights and then using them to inspire and inform design. Payments is a multi-disciplinary team of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers, copywriters and web developers who collaborate closely with Engineering and Product Management to create innovative, usable, great-looking Payments products that people love to use.

As a User Experience Researcher, you'll design and conduct research activities that inform the development of innovative, best-of-breed products. You have excellent analytical and communication skills, are diligent, detail-oriented, and can work fairly independently.

Top Responsibilities: 1. User research planning and preparation 2. Assist with participant recruiting and scheduling 3. Conduct, and analyze qualitative user research: in-lab and remote usability sessions and other methods

Additional Responsibilities: Administer and analyze happiness tracking and other consumer surveys Draft findings, recommendations, and reports based on user research Create highlight videos/screenshots

Required Qualifications: BA/BS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or equivalent practical experience in other field emphasizing human behavior 2+ years experience conducting qualitative in-lab and remote research Experience with survey design and analysis (descriptive statistics only) Detail oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks Strong oral and written communication skills Can independently prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects Experience working on cross-functional teams

Nice to Haves: MA/MS or PhD in a user-centered research field Research experience in consumer or business facing digital products 4+ years experience conducting qualitative in-lab and remote research, including experience integrating research into product designs Experience conducting mobile research with Android smartphones & tablets Experience using basic graphic and video editing tools (iMovie, Camtasia) Working knowledge of quantitative research and principles of experimental design
