CDI Inc., is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of User Experience (UX) Writer. This is a contract position and the duration is expected to be 12 months+. This would be a W2 position and you would work onsite at the client’s location in Palo Alto, CA. Project Overview:

Overall responsibilities:

Working with UX designers, you’ll shape mobile, web and voice interactions, with a focus on indoor and outdoor cameras. As part of a small writing team, you’ll be responsible for end to end customer journeys, from product setup and out-of-box to daily interactions.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

• Use brand voice to write precise, accurate and helpful customer-focused copy, including notifications, error messages, settings and welcome flows.
• Get requirements from and buy-in on copy from Marketing, Legal, Privacy, Product, and Localization and Design teams.
• Create clear, easy to follow copy specs that serve as a source of truth for design, engineering and test.

Required Skills:

BA/BS degree in communications, English, journalism or 7 years of equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience as a UX writer, tech writer, or content strategist.

Experience working closely with design and engineering teams on end-user facing copy.

Able to turn complex and abstract ideas into simple, customer focused messaging.

Strong writing and project management skills.

Consumer hardware experience. Editing skills
