WEB DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER

Primary Responsibilities

The web development coordinator will manage a complete refresh of the Company website and oversee website design and development to align with the company’s marketing strategies and initiatives. This position will be closely aligned with Company’s communications and marketing team and a vendor that will be selected to build the website.

Typical Duties Responsibilities of the web development coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the Company website redesign from initial concept to production
  • Collaborate with IT and purchasing to ensure smooth transition to new site
  • Serve as the primary interface between internal Company stakeholders (marketing, communications, human resources, investor relations, purchasing, etc.) and an external supplier to redesign the website using industry best practices for design and development.
  • Use extensive knowledge of global web trends, user-centered design and industry best practices to make recommendations for developing a site that can grow with the needs of the business and adapt to future web trends
  • Leverage experience with Google Analytics to track KPIs and make recommendations for improving content and design
  • Lead regular meetings with key stakeholders to ensure the project stays on time and on budget
  • Communicate project status and deliverables to key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Constructs effective systems that optimize web pages for Google Analytics, SEO, tracking and performance metrics
  • Direct the design, creation, development and maintenance of the site in accordance with company’s brand guidelines for messaging, graphics and photography style
  • Work in collaboration with marketing and communications to create product content and page designs in accordance with product messaging strategies
  • Manage project tasks, timelines and other tasks as needed for successful project completion.

Requirements Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of work experience managing the development of websites Degree Strongly Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in web design/multimedia/project management or related discipline

Desired Competencies/Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to managing development of websites for global corporations or B2B companies, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Active follower of current global trends in web design, new development technologies and appropriate professional development activities related to web design, content and maintenance
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET
  • Strong knowledge of web design software, including Adobe Design Suite, WordPress and Drupal
  • Experience with multiple content management systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Organized, accurate, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work with minimum supervision in a timely manner
  • Trustworthy with knowledge of confidential Company business data and can relate well to people from all areas, representing Company in a professional manner.
  • Ability to successfully build working relationships, especially with the internal team of Company key stakeholders
  • Advanced skills in active listening, problem definition, problem resolution, research, analysis, and executive briefings/reporting
