Description/Comment: Manages mid complexity projects to perform analysis and characterization of metallic and non-metallic materials, and processing techniques in order to meet the requirements for the procurement, design, or operation of product; perform analysis and characterization of advanced materials. Additional responsibilities may include leading failure analyses, mechanical testing, corrosion studies, tribological evaluations, and environmental compatibility assessments. May also include reviewing drawings for specification compliance and writing material and process specifications. Experience with space flight materials requirements would be a plus.

Additional Job Details: May include occasional travel (<10%). Familiarity with DOORS requirement software would be helpful.
